The corrugated wall shape of the AlgaTube™️ increases the photon surface area (PSA) by more than 2x relative to a comparable, cylindrical tube. This improves both the photon distribution and the photosynthetic productivity of a tubular photobioreactor. It also reduces water usage. The AlgaTube™️ is made of clear virgin acrylic. Fittings are custom made to fit precisely with the special shape of the AlgaTube™️, and they are welded together by an experienced manufacturing team for strong and leak-free bonding.
